Hello! My name is Kamal, a 4th year majoring in Human Biology from Muir College. I joined PPASO in my second year, after learning about the career in my first year. I felt motivated for the first time when thinking about my future career, and I was curious to learn more. Everything I have learned about the PA career from PPASO encouraged me to pursue it everyday. I wanted to contribute to the efforts of PPASO of sharing knowledge on the PA profession. So, I say with great excitement on joining the PPASO board as a public relation coordinator, to help organize GBMs and events focused on highlighting the PA profession. 

 

My favorite memory with PPASO was volunteering in OSCE’s at the UCSD PA program. It was my first time visiting the Medical campus, and I got to see firsthand what attending a PA program is like, and to help out the PA students in their testing. The Dine with a PA event is also another event that motivated me to join PPASO, I was in awe with how much effort was put into the event and how well executed it was through the end. I hope to deliver the same effort in my time at PPASO so that others can also have a good time talking to PAs and feel as inspired as I did!
