Hi everyone!

 

My name is Allison and I’m a third year. I joined PPASO during the fall quarter of my first year and I’m looking forward to serving as one of PPASOs Co-Presidents this year. I’m glad I joined PPASO because I have been provided with many community service, networking, mentoring, leadership, and shadowing opportunities.

 

Favorite PPASO Memory: My most memorable experience with PPASO was the first general meeting of my first year. It was amazing to be in an atmosphere surrounded by so many individuals like me, who similarly shared the same interest in the PA profession. Listening to Judd Laraway, PA-C, share his personal journey to becoming a PA was inspiring and interesting. Being in this first meeting gave me a glimpse into the essence of the club and made me want to become a part of it. It made me realize that being part of PPASO was not only an opportunity to grow professionally, but also a chance to build meaningful connections with peers and mentors who share similar ambitions. From that moment on, I knew I wanted to be part of PPASO and contribute to the sense of community that inspired me from the beginning.
